When it comes to this business, there are fewer things that mean more to me than receiving a referral from a past client.. or in this case, multiple. You may notice some familiar faces as guests at this wedding. A former Bride & Groom. A Cake Baker I absolutely adore. Portrait clients here and there. Yeah, I felt like I was at home. And after working with Cameron through an engagement session, bridal session, and working through the details of her big day, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel like part of the family at this point. Thanks, lady 😃
Cameron & Thomas, a divided house between Alabama and Auburn, with love for Pensacola AND New Orleans – truly I wasn’t sure how this would all go. Fear not – Melinda Orona Weddings & Events pulled this day together in amazing ways.
Cameron & Thomas – Thank you for taking me on this magic ride with you. Your day was everything we had hoped for – beautiful weather, an amazing love story party, and much much more. I’m so grateful to have met you and your family and I can’t wait for us to have a wine and cheese night sometime soon!
I absolutely loved the details Cameron added to her getting ready! The red plaid button ups and the monogrammed tumblers to match tied everything together.
Cameron and her girls got ready at the Captian’s Room at the Fish House. It was the perfect place to get ready downtown with plenty of room for her 8 bridesmaids and 2 flower girls! Plus, the breakfast and lunch catering does not disappoint!
Thomas and the guys got ready at the new Holiday Inn Express in Downtown Pensacola. Uh… the views are amazing. And the light. It made our jobs easy.
Cameron’s mom helped put the finishing touches together before the big reveal to the rest of her bridesmaids.
You know you’re at the Fish House when there’s GRITS on the walls 😉
Cameron chose to get dressed and do a reveal to the rest of her bridesmaids. It’s such a fun way to pull the morning together. And their reactions are everything! (Thanks for jumping in the weird closet, girlfriend!)
I love a good First Look and given the timeline of their day, it was a must as it allowed us to get all their formal family photos out of the way before the ceremony. But also… Look how happy they are!
Cameron and Thomas got married at the beautiful Christ Church on Wright Street in Pensacola.
As the family exits the church following the wedding, their guest were there to greet them, with beads, noisemakers, and the Second Line Band!
The entire wedding marched down Palafox Street, partying and dancing, down to the Palafox Wharf Reception Venue.
Special thanks to Brett Birdsong and his drone skills for capturing some fun arial shots of the fun!
After some sunset portraits on the lawn and dock of the Palafox Wharf, we were off to continue the celebration!
When you can’t do sparklers, you bring out some good old fashioned team rivalry! Auburn and Alabama colored poms for everyone!
