the Wedding Experience

Meet the Photographer

I'm Meg - a Boston-Irish girl with a southern heart and salt water running through my veins. If you’ve found me through social media, you’ve certainly “met” my overly photographed dog and love of my life, Fenway. I lack the Boston accent but will always call it home. I have a silly obsession with pelicans and I’m fascinated with (yet, completely terrified of) jellyfish. Put me at the beach with the sound of the ocean and I’m in complete paradise.  I will cry at your wedding and at your child’s birth – guaranteed.

I believe our society puts a lot of pressure on women and they way we look - and not enough on how we feel. I look to empower women through photography by providing an experience that'll make them truly feel - feel like themselves, feel beautiful, feel powerful, feel wild and free.

5Eleven Palafox Downtown Pensacola Wedding | Christine + Joey

Christine and Joey got married at my favorite Downtown Pensacola wedding venue: 5Eleven Palafox. There’s something truly magical about this space - the historic nature, the downright amazing light regardless of the time of day, and the proximity to the water for...

Pensacola Wedding at Sanders Beach | Hong & Bobby

There are fewer things I feel more honored by than when a friend asks me to be their wedding photographer.  Shooting Hong and Bobby’s wedding was an absolute dream come true. From the first look at the Pensacola Yacht Club, to a ceremony and reception at...

Rustic Romantic Carillon Beach Meeting House Wedding | Tanner + Chris

I love the rain. Stormy rain specifically. Give me a ridiculous thunderstorm, a cozy blanket, and my couch and I’m the happiest. I know it all came from my Dad. We always shared our love of a good storm, with fleeting dreams of chasing them. Now, I don’t love the rain...

I take a limited number of weddings each year to ensure that all of my clients receive the best service possible. Full wedding commissions include the time and talent of Meg Burke as your wedding photographer, final digital files with a personal print release, and online viewing and sharing gallery.

Full day collections begin at $2800. Elopement collections begin at $1050.

Engagement sessions are a great opportunity for us to get to know each other before your wedding day. I highly encourage these with all of my couples. I also include the final digital files with a personal print release and online viewing and sharing gallery with these sessions.

Additional Sessions

Bridal Sessions, Day After Sessions, “Trash the Dress” sessions are all wonderful options to add to your wedding collection. Discounted additional sessions are available to all Meg Burke Photography couples.

How do we book our wedding with you?
First step is to tell me about it! Fill out the trusty contact form and tell me about yourself, your wedding, and your date.

From there, we’ll work together to create the perfect wedding collection to satisfy all your photographic hopes and dreams for your wedding day.

To reserve your date, you’ll receive a full proposal with contract and invoice that you can complete online. Your date is held once the retainer is received.

Do you offer albums or prints?
YES! I highly encourage you print your photos. They do so much more for you and your family if they’re off the computer and put somewhere special in your home. We’ll chat about your printing needs and incorporate album or print credits with your wedding collection as you see fit.
What is Full Day vs. Elopement?
Full Day collection include 8 hours of wedding day coverage. In my experience, rarely do we need more hours than that but should the timeline look to require that, we’ll work together to ensure everything is covered and nothing is sacrificed.

Elopement collections are for smaller affairs – ceremony/portrait only-events. Simple and elegant and often no more than 3 hours of photography are needed.

Do you work with a second photographer?
Yes! I love to work with my second photographer on a wedding day – it provides a whole new artistic prospective to your wedding day. I’m perfectly happy and excited to work on my own for your big day and I assure you the entire day will be covered, regardless of getting ready locations or size of guest list. That second photographer just adds an additional layer to your wedding day with a different view that compliments your final wedding gallery.

When added to your collection, I work with only the best professional photographers I know.
